2017 National Champs
A re-creation of the 2017 National Championship official locker room design. This is no longer available for sale by UNC or Nike/Jordan Brand. When it was available in t-shirt form, it was only in cheap cotton that immediately stretched and faded. Get a better-quality t-shirt version of a memorable moment here.
2017 Post Season
Inspired by the 2017 NCAA Tournament bench T on the way to another National Championship. We did omit the hashtag on the sleeve but the design is identical right down to the Champion Gothic font Nike used. Funny little thing. Nike used a different font for the exclamation point. That one took a while to find.
90s Summer Camp
Tar Heels, Little Tar Heels, Blue One!!!
You saw our 1980s-era Carolina Basketball School design, now here's the early 90s version. Converse seemed fairly involved with Carolina Basketball School even featuring Converse logos on some of the year's shorts and t-shirts. When Nike entered the scene, the shorts got better but the design changed removing the two-seam basketball altogether. This is an identical re-creation of the shirt from that era.
Carolina Basketball
School Alum
You made your bed every morning. You turned your lights out on time every night. You maybe only ever ran one tour that anyone knows about. And now you have done it. You have your certificate in hand and a photo with Coach Smith to prove it. You're an alumnus of the Carolina Basketball School. Congratulations!
Carolina Ball
Clean and simple designs are often the ones that withstand the test of time. We are attracted to trendy designs, but we look most fondly on the ones that say everything by saying very little more than what matters most. It's what becomes "classic." A simple basketball with Carolina markings is definitely and inherently classic.
Four Corner Ford
In the 1960's Coach Smith drove opponents crazy with the four corners offense. It was like watching paint dry to many, but without a shot-clock it was effective. However, it wasn't until a young man from Rocky Mount, NC came along that the four corners became deadly to the opposition and put Four Corner Ford in a position to be the all-time leader in ACC scoring for a long, long time.
Weight Room
Carolina has had so many transformational and generational players. When this young man came from Poplar Bluff to Chapel Hill a new era was coming. This is a guy who in summer pickup games was flexing on NBA veterans. He went on to surpass the Carolina and ACC all time scoring record and ended his career with a title.
Home Floor
Roy Williams Court inside the Dean Smith Center; that's a mouthful. Two of the best to ever walk the sideline of a college basketball team. Carolina has truly been blessed and is the only dynasty in the game. UCLA was a one-coach legacy. Similarly, dook is a one-coach legacy. Only Kansas and Kentucky can legitimately enter Carolina's chat room.
Center Court
Be it Carmichael or the Smith Center, there is no greater center court in all of basketball - college, pro, or abroad. This design is stripped down version without the interlocking NC to accentuate the unique nature of the state of North Carolina so simplistically displayed at center court.
Woody
For forty short years Woody Durham was the voice of the Tar Heels on Saturdays and for the hardwood. Fans of a certain age remember times when the game wasn't seen it was heard and Woody painted the picture. By the time he retired the digital era of television and radio had arrived and people went to great lengths to match his voice up to the TV. This design celebrates his most famous phrase. If you know, you know.
Seven Year Itch
For many reasons Carolina Basketball is the only dynasty in basketball, but this is one of the main ones. The Heels have seven titles (one Helms, six NCAA) in its storied history. That's seven titles in six different decades with four different coaches. Other programs can claim success with one coach, only Carolina can claim this kind of success over different eras how the game is played with different coaches.
The Argyle
When Coach Smith called Carolina grad and clothing designer Alexander Julian to re-design the basketball uniform neither probably guessed the outcome would result in an iconic symbol for all the university's athletics. The final product Julian came up with got Michael Jordan's approval to push it over the top, and the rest is history.
Aloha Again
Hawaii has been a great destination for the Heels over the years. In the early stages of the 1992-1993 season the Heels lost on a buzzer-beater to Michigan at the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, HI. Later that season Carolina beat Michigan in the National Championship for Coach Smith's second title. Hawaii is more intriguing of late. The last three National Championships for the Heels ('05, '09, '17), all under Coach Williams, saw a November trip to Maui. Next November Carolina is going back to Maui.
